The Nordic countries have a clear passion for whisky – themed cruises regularly ply the Baltic waters and single malt has a huge following – so the beginnings of a whisky industry here should come as no surprise. Finland’s Teerenpeli distillery has been going since 2002, and is already producing a characterful, cereal-scented and nutty malt.
